Gathering Area Activities

In gathering areas, you can fight monsters and gather synthesis items.
Sometimes, exploration tools such as fishing rods or bug catching nets may be necessary in order to gather specific items.
Even in the same area, different monsters will appear at different times of day.

Exploration Rate

By opening the map screen when in a gathering area, you can check how much of the area has been explored.
This rate is accumulated by collecting data pertaining to the monsters and items to be gathered within that gathering area.
Raising the exploration rate will lead to changes in the shape of the map on the overall map screen, and information about monster locations being added. Once the exploration rate reaches 100%, the odds of finding items of higher quality will increase.
