Flow Attacks / Reactive Attacks / Trigger Attacks / Special Attacks / Musou Attacks / Bow Attacks
Flow Attacks ▶▶▶▶▶ 
Combo attacks that change depending on an enemy's state.
By pressing the corresponding button again after executing one of these attacks, you can chain together combo attacks.
These attacks change depending on the state of the enemy, such as when they are on the ground, in the air, or if they have been knocked down.
Reactive Attacks ▶▶▶▶▶ 
Special attacks that allow you to optimally adapt to the situation.
A marker will appear above an enemy's head when a Reactive Attack such as a Counter Attack or a Finish Attack is able to be executed.
Types of Reactive Attacks
When enemies approach ▶ Separating Attacks
Separating Attacks will create a distance between you and your enemies. Sometimes these attacks will also Stun enemies. These attacks will not be interrupted even when you are being attacked.
When airborne enemies approach ▶ Smash Attacks
Smash airborne enemies into the ground.
When enemies are far away ▶ Dash Attacks
Dash Attacks allow you to suddenly close in on enemies. They also allow you to pursue enemies that have been sent flying.
When enemies are blocking ▶ Guard Break
An attack that breaks an enemy's guard.
When an enemy unleashes a powerful attack ▶ Counter Attacks
Counter an enemy's attack. If a Counter Attack is successful, you will be temporarily invincible.
When you have approached the enemy without being noticed ▶ Assault Attacks
Assault enemy forces and deal massive amounts of damage.
After reducing a large portion of an enemy's Health ▶ Finish Attacks
Deliver your enemy the finishing blow.
Trigger Attacks ▶▶▶▶▶

Trigger Attacks are powerful attacks that can send enemies flying into the air, stun them, or knock them down.
Hold down the corresponding button to perform a powerful charge attack.
After executing one of these attacks, you can follow up with a variety of Flow Attacks.
Launch ▶▶▶▶▶ ＋
Send an enemy flying into the air.
Stun ▶▶▶▶▶ ＋
Stun an enemy.
Knock-Down ▶▶▶▶▶ ＋
Knock down an enemy.
Special Attacks ▶▶▶▶▶ ＋
Deliver attacks that are unique to each officer.
Special Attacks have elemental effects, and you are invincible while executing these attacks.
After using a Special Attack, you will have to wait until the cooldown time has been exceeded before executing another one.
Cooldown Time
During cooldown time a blue gauge is displayed. When the blue gauge is filled, cooldown time ends, and you will be able to execute another Special Attack.
To reduce cooldown time...
- Land consecutive attacks without taking damage from enemies.
- Successfully execute a Counter Attack. (Note that a Counter Attack is one type of Reactive Attack.)
- Successfully execute a Finish Attack. (Note that a Finish Attack is one type of Reactive Attack.)
Musou Attacks ▶▶▶▶▶
Musou Attacks are special attacks unique to each officer.
You are invincible while performing Musou Attacks.
You can perform Musou Attacks when the Musou Gauge (the yellow gauge in the lower left) is filled.
If you continue to press the button, you can continue attacking until the gauge has been depleted.
To refill the Musou Gauge...
- Deal damage to enemies.
- Take damage from enemies.
Note: The Musou gauge will also gradually refill when your Health is low.
Aerial Musou Attacks
You can execute an Aerial Musou Attack by pressing the corresponding button while jumping.
Mounted Musou Attacks
You can execute a Mounted Musou Attack by pressing the corresponding button while mounted.
Bow Attacks
Ready your bow, fix your aim, and release the shot.
You can change the type of arrows you will shoot when your bow has been readied.
Squatting makes aiming easier. You can also move when your bow has been readied.
You can even perform Bow Attacks when your regular weapon is sheathed.

When to Use Bow Attacks
Bow Attacks are effective when hunting animals.
Also, by shooting oil pots, you can engulf the surrounding area in flames.
