In "DYNASTY WARRIORS 9," the expansive land of China is depicted on a single map.
Players can freely roam about the land, join the battles in each region, and interact with officers, allowing them to live their lives in the world of the "Romance of the Three Kingdoms" as they wish.

Battles Unfold at the Same Time

Forces clash in each region.
In addition to the regular larger battles known as "Key Missions" and "Missions," skirmishes will also occur at various locations as you travel among Bases. The player must therefore consider the overall battle situation before deciding whether to join such battles.

Battles Change Depending on the Weather and Time of Day

As time passes, day turns to dusk, and eventually night falls. In addition, sometimes the weather will change drastically.
You can form effective strategies according to the situation, such as by sieging enemy castles at night when the enemy is stationary, or by launching an assault under the cover of a torrent of rain.

Each Officer Has a Dramatic Story

At first, the player will only be able to select from 3 officers, but more officers will become available as the game progresses.
There are also various playable eras depending on when each officer was active. Openings, endings, and various events are available for each officer, so you can enjoy the stories of differing kingdoms from unique perspectives.

The Daily Lives of Officers Away from the Battlefield

Interact and deepen your bonds with officers at Hideaways. Enjoy going fishing or hunting. Visit the unexplored regions or famous spots in each region... You can enjoy the everyday lives of officers of the Three Kingdoms era even when you are off the battlefield.
