Imperial Court

Making monthly offerings of gold to the Imperial Court will earn you an official post once trust has reached 100.
You can only receive official posts of a rank higher than what you currently possess.

*Some clans will not be able to perform diplomacy with the Imperial Court initially. However, it will become available if you offer gold to the messenger who occasionally visits.

Advantages of Official Posts

Official posts raise your prestige in accordance with the rank of the post.
Prestige affects policies and diplomacy, among other things. If you attack an enemy clan of higher prestige, your soldiers will be enfeebled and unit abilities will decrease.
If you receive a new official post, the old one can be given to a retainer via the Achievements/Offenses command.
Official posts can also be used as offers in direct talk negotiations.

*Only the highest-ranking official post in possession affects prestige.

Title

Title is a command only available to the shōgunate clan. The daimyō of the shōgunate clan can give titles to other clans to temporarily raise their stance.
The receiving clan will gain prestige from the title, so choose wisely.
