The son of the brave officer Jōun Takahashi of Kyūshū, he later becomes the adopted son of Dōsetsu Tachibana. He is praised for his military talents and also the aristocratic way he carries himself. He possesses a free spirit that cannot be held down as he looks to make his way through the chaos.
