As this product uses the Steam® service provided by Valve, please install the Steam® client, and create an account in order to play "NOBUNAGA'S AMBITION: Awakening".

The launcher is this menu screen that pops up after clicking the PLAY button, where you can start the game and change the default environment settings.

Please try closing all other programs, such as virus scan application, and then start the game.
You may also want to check if the graphics board driver is up-to-date and supported by the OS installed on your PC. Installing DirectX® End-User Runtime may also fix the issue.
Note: The issue may not be resolved if the PC does not meet the System Requirements. Please check here for more details about the System Requirements.

Please try adjusting the following settings: - Start the launcher, go to the default environment settings, and change the "Graphic Quality" to "Low". - From the Windows® start menu, select "Settings" > "System" > "Graphics Settings", and change the basic settings of graphics to "High Performance". Please try closing all other programs, such as virus scan application, and then start the game. Note: The issue may not be resolved if the PC does not meet the System Requirements. Please check here for more details about the System Requirements.

Please check the Windows® Sound Device Settings to confirm if the audio device you want to use is selected as the default device.

Please make sure that the graphics board driver and the sound driver are up-to-date.
Please check with the hardware manufacturer to obtain and install the appropriate driver for your model. Installing the "DirectX End-User Runtime" might resolve this issue.

If the issue still persists, then changing the following default environment settings from the launcher may resolve the issue:

(a) If the movie does not play properly.
You can stop playing the movie by changing the Movie setting to "Disable".

(b) If the background music does not play properly.
You can stop playing the background music by changing the BGM setting to "Disable".

(c) If the sound effect does not play properly.
You can stop playing the sound effects by changing the SE setting to "Disable".

(d) If the voice does not play properly.
You can stop playing the voice by changing the VOICE setting to "Disable".

From the launcher, please check the default environment setting and reset the monitor and resolution settings.
Also, after Windows Update or connecting a new monitor, updating the desktop resolution of the newly connected monitor from the Windows® display settings will update the Windows® display information and may resolve the issue.

【Windows®】
You can change the language using the pull-down list menu on the top-left corner of the launcher. Available languages are English, Japanese, Traditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese.
Note: If you set the language setting to English, then the audio will also be in English. If you set the language setting to either Japanese, Traditional Chinese, or Simplified Chinese, then the audio will be in Japanese.

【PlayStation®4】
The game is only available in English.

【Nintendo Switch™】
The game is only available in English.

"If you had saved the game while the Steam® Cloud feature is disabled, then that saved data cannot be loaded after reinstalling the application.
If you want to transfer saved data after reinstalling the application, then please be sure to enable the Steam® Cloud function, and then start the game to sync with Steam® Cloud before uninstalling the application.
Also, in order to load saved data with additional officers (officers added via downloadable contents), the downloadable contents need to be installed in advance."

To uninstall the game, go to the Library on your Steam® client, right-click the game "NOBUNAGA'S AMBITION: Awakening", and select Manage > Uninstall. You can also uninstall from the Control Panel on Windows, from Program > Uninstall Program.
Note: Uninstalling the Steam® client will also uninstall "NOBUNAGA'S AMBITION: Awakening". This will also delete any save data, so if you want to keep the saved data, then be sure to sync with the Steam® Cloud feature in advance.

The Windows® version supports 4K. You can also play the game with ultra wide setting, but the game will be displayed in 16:9.
Note: PlayStation®4 version and Nintendo Switch™ version does not support 4K.

No, the game does not support onboard graphics.

Yes, PlayStation®4 version can be played with PlayStation®5 through the backward compatibility.
Note: A system software update for PlayStation®5 may be required.

Yes, you can play the game on Nintendo Switch™ Lite.

Yes, you can play the game in all of those modes.

Yes, you can create your own officer in "Edit Custom Officer" and make it appear during gameplay.

Start the launcher and select "Portrait Adding Tool". You can check the instruction manual from "Display Readme(H)" under "Help".
