How to Start Battles
In a battle, many units gather on one battlefield to fight.
When the daimyō's unit is at war or approaches another unit that is at war, Battle Ready will appear above the daimyō unit. Select the daimyō unit and choose Battle to begin.
Before the battle begins, a military council will take place.

Victory Conditions
Victory is achieved by fulfilling one of the following:
- Defeat all enemy units
- Destroy all enemy disengagements
- Deplete total enemy morale to 0
- Defeat the enemy daimyō
Authority
Achieving victory in a battle or siege may activate authority, which affects surrounding clans and counties in various ways.
The more units the losing clan commanded, the greater these effects will be.
*In a siege, the defender's authority is determined by the number of units on the attacking side, while the attacker's authority is determined by the scale of the defending clan.
*In a siege, the defending side's authority will not cause castles and counties to change allegiances.
- Surrounding counties will come under the victorious clan's control (castles may be affected as well).
- The stance of surrounding clans will change.
- The vassal degree of nearby tribes will change.
- The loyalty of officers will change.
- Nearby units that belong to the losing clan will retreat.
- Nearby castles will become agitated.
- Castles available for siege will prevent castles behind them from being affected by authority.
Military Council
During the military council, you will organize the participating units.
Up to 16 units can be organized, but only 8 can enter the battle at one time. The remaining units will be on standby and will replace any destroyed or retreating units.

You can change the order of the units. Select two units to swap their positions.
Select Marching Unit
Select up to 8 units to march.
